About Nicholas Granby - World of EFT
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques.
- Much has now been written about this unique therapy and it is not the intention of this site to fill these pages with this much repeated material.
- Basically, EFT works on us in two ways simultaneously.
- Mentally and emotionally we acknowledge the cause of our "problem" (pain/phobia/allergy/trauma etc.) and speak it out loud.
- At the same time, we (or the Practitioner) tap lightly with fingers on various points on the face, torso and hands. As we put our attention on the pain, or the memories, images, thoughts and feelings that come to mind, the body might manifest physical reactions, like contractions, tightness, breathing changes or tension. But the tapping has the effect of soothing, even neutralising these reactions, and they lose their power.
- This is the result of calming the brain’s emotional control centre, the amygdala, that leads to altering, dissolving and re-solving ingrained, stress-inducing belief systems and reactions.
My training, work experience and any achievement
EFT has proved to naturally relieve physical pain, allergies, phobias, anxiety, stress and, in fact, the whole range of energies that bring our awareness down, from joy to misery and that block us from living at our full potential and in good health. When I first discovered EFT and the website of Gary Craig, its founder, some years ago, I studied it and started to put it into practise, in small ways, on myself and others that I came across with some kind of discomfort/pain/problem. The process worked every time, not always at the same speed or intensity, but always with positive results that brought relief. I continued with spontaneously offering and providing this form of treatment over the next few years, and then became a Qualified Practitioner. (AAMET)
I run Group Workshops, private face-to-face and online sessions (via Skype) which cover the globe.
I am also a Corporate Trainer (Public Speaking, Perfect Presentations, Personal Development etc), and a Certified Life Coach. I advocate meditation as the only means for our spiritual evolution, and personally practise and follow the methods of Sahaja Yoga. Further Information
1) EFT IS NON-INVASIVE. The Practitioner does not have to know about personal private moments. The Practitioner does not need or want to dig into all the details. What is important is that the clients know. They can give it a name,a colour, anything, like a code. And saying that word or phrase during the tapping process has the same effect as if they said names, places, dates etc...
2) EFT CAN BE SELF-APPLIED. Sometimes one session with a Practitioner is enough to clear the ’problem’. But some conditions require more. The wonderful thing about EFT is that it is simple and effortless to learn and apply. The Practitioner can set some ’homework’, so that in-between sessions, the client can actively help themselves by using the EFT tapping process.
3) EFT DOES NOT MEAN MONTHS OF THERAPY. In most cases one to six sessions result in the desired results. If more time is necessary, then some deep unconscious resistance might be looked for, or the ’problem’ might have many more sources than on first appearance.
4) EFT CAN BE FELT IMMEDIATELY. Very often, people are surprised that they can feel the first effects of the procedure within seconds of starting tapping on the meridian points, usually a reassuring sense of relaxation or peace.
